At the Stevensville Airport, Stevensville, Montana
Bitterroot Aviation opened at the Stevensville airport in 1998 as a maintenance and training facility in an existing airport hangar. Flight training was in a Cessna 150 and ground school was in a separate hanger.
In 2006, a new much larger hanger was built to accommodate larger aircraft and an extensive facility for ground school training. The new hanger also has a small lounge area for students and flight simulators for practice.
Over the years, some of the aircraft have included two Cessna 150, a Cessna 172 RG and a Cessna 172.
The new facility now houses a helicopter training facility, too.
